Job Description
Job Purpose
The primary role of the Head of Programme is to provide strong academic and professional leadership. The Head of Programme will lead, manage, and develop the department to ensure the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing, organizing, and developing the department’s core activities in teaching and learning.
- Contributing to the formulation and dissemination of the annual Business Plan.
- Managing and ensuring the effective delivery of programmes and courses.
- Contributing to research activities within and outside TGMI.
- Addressing learners’ issues, including matters referred by other academic staff.
Job Requirements
Requirements for the Post
Applicants should meet the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant lecturing experience at a tertiary institution or university level.
- Possession of a Postgraduate Certificate (an added advantage).
- High academic and professional competency.
- Aptitude for research.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in grammar and document clarity.
