Job Description
Job Summary
The post holder will be responsible to contribute to the organisation business strategy and drive non-aeronautical commercial revenue streams and initiatives for the advancement of Seychelles airports commercial goals.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Advance the commercial success and further growth of non-aeronautical revenues at Seychelles airports, encompassing all business areas including Food and Beverage, Duty Fee, Retail, Banking, Parking, Car Hires, Advertising, lounges Catering, Passenger/Cargo Handling services, Fuelling arrangement, FBO and all other non-aeronautical activities.
- Conceptualize, transform, and implement innovative business initiatives in line with customer needs and demands.
- Oversee business performance, including monitoring and analysis, in terms of product mix, operational efficiency, financial performance, service levels and make appropriate recommendations and improvements to ensure optimum performance.
- Build and manage relationships with new and existing external and internal commercial business partners ensuring focus is on customer service, operational standards and ensure financial performance is always optimized.
- Formulate changes to commercial agreements/contracts in line with international industry standards and market rates.
- Conduct negotiations of commercial agreements including new and existing arrangements ensuring timely renewals and application of changes.
- Ensure compliance of all operators in line with contracts and commercial agreements in place, including Operating Standards, Code of Conducts and Service Level Agreements and other applicable policies.
- Engage the support of other divisions to ensure operational efficiency and service levels in the use of commercial spaces, in line with the landlord’s commitment as per the lease/concession agreement.
- Contribute in the preparation and delivery and continued regular reporting of the organization’s Statement of Corporate Intent, Annual Reports as well as the revenue budget annually.
- Undertake processes for procurement of goods and services for airport commercial projects in line with national procurement laws and regulations, including preparation of project documents, tender documents and others.
- Partake in infrastructure development in line with passenger forecasts and assist in developing business cases to ensure returns on investments.
- Manage current and future planned commercial projects ensuring project inception, monitoring and completion.
- Prepare regular reports including monthly, quarterly reports as well as business revenue performance reports and key performance indicators.
- Lead and manage a team, ensuring job performance, assignment of duties and empowerment of team members.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Finance, AND/OR a Diploma in Business related fields with relevant combination of additional academic qualifications, with management training.
- Strong understanding of financial performance management and investment modeling will be an advantage.
- 5 years of relevant work experience in commercial fields, preferably in business management, sales, retail, marketing, or airport/air transport industry.
- Experience in the aviation industry will be an advantage.
