Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Responsible to: Caretaker
Position Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker cum Maintenance Technician to manage the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that our premises are well-maintained, safe, and functional by performing a variety of tasks ranging from routine cleaning to more complex maintenance and repair duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and unclogging drains.
- Ensure the security of bonded warehouses
- Oversee and perform general cleaning duties to ensure the premises are clean and tidy (internal/external)
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services when necessary.
- Ensure that safety protocols are followed and that the facility complies with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with event set-up and take-down as required.
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in maintenance or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a maintenance or caretaker role.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
Working Conditions:
Working Hours:
- 8am – 4.30pm (Monday to Friday)
- 8.30am – 12pm (Saturdays)
This role will require occasional evening or weekend work, depending on the needs of the facility. The position involves working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
