Position: Cyber Security Analyst
Responsible to: Head of Information and Technology
Job Description
Job Summary:
The Cyber Security Analyst works closely with the Senior Officer in a professional team supporting implementation of processes to safeguard the company’s data and sensitive information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the bank’s computer networks and systems to identify any violations and security breaches that need to be resolved;
- Responsible for installing and utilising software, such as firewalls and data encryption program;
- Carry out regular tests to simulate attacks and identify vulnerable areas which might be exploited by hackers and viruses;
- Develop processes and regulations to ensure the Bank’s systems stay as safe as possible, in addition to developing security standards for all employees to adhere to;
- Prepare and create regular reports to document any process implementation, improvements made, and security breaches that caused damage to the Bank;
- Perform any other relevant duties as may be assigned by Head of Department.

Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computing and Information systems, or cyber/information/network security with relevant satisfactory experience, preferably in Banking or Financial Services environment.
- Or 5 years’ experience as a System Support Officer with CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Network+ and CCNA or MCSA
Key Competencies
- An understanding of the cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them
- Good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and anti-virus
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team working skills and collaboration with others
- Ability to multi-task and priorities workload
- Verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Written communication skills including writing technical reports
- Excellent attention to detail
- Time management and organization skills to manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure, particularly when dealing with threats and at times of high demand
