The Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority (SMSA) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
Job Description
The Deputy CEO supports the Chief Executive Officer in the effective implementation of SMSA’s strategic objectives, acts as Deputy in the CEO’s absence, and undertakes executive, operational, and administrative functions as delegated.

Job Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Demonstrated senior-level experience in Human Resources and Finance, gained in the public or private sector;
- Proven experience in a maritime operational or regulatory field, or in a comparable safety-critical, highly regulated industry (e.g. aviation, ports, transport safety);
- Legal and regulatory maritime experience, considered essential;
- Prior experience within a maritime administration, regarded as an advantage.
Working knowledge of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) framework will be an asset.
Strong leadership, sound judgement, and the ability to operate effectively within a public service governance environment are essential.
