JOB TITLE: Senior Fisheries Scientist
DEPARTMENT: Fisheries Research
RESPONSIBLE TO: Assistant Manager Fisheries Scientist
Job Description
Summary of Duties
The Senior Fisheries Scientist is responsible for providing timely and robust scientific information on the biology and ecology of commercially/ecologically important fish species. This is achieved through the implementation of applied research activities and projects.

Job Requirements
Education (Special Knowledge) /Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in Marine Biology/ Marine science/ Marine Ecology or any related field associated with the research themes plus three years of satisfactory work experience in any research related field
OR
- A first Degree in Marine Biology/ Marine science/ Marine Ecology or any related field associated with the research themes plus five years satisfactory work experience as a Fisheries Scientist or in any research related field.

- Good scientific report writing
- Diving certificate
