Electro-Mechanic
Job Description
Job Summary
The Electro-Mechanic will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment used in production, manufacturing, or other industrial environments. This role requires a combination of skills in electrical systems, mechanical systems, automation, and control technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions in electrical circuits, motors, gearboxes, pumps, and control systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Calibrate and test electrical and mechanical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Inspect equipment and perform safety checks according to company and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement system improvements.
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation for all repairs and service activities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate/ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience in related field
- Valid driving licence No. 2 will be a plus
Skills
- Good Communication Skills
- Good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
- Strong knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, meters, and hand/power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
