Position Title: Conservation & Sustainability Officer
Location: Remote Island, Seychelles
Join the Conservation & Sustainability team on Fregate Island, a private island renowned for its unique biodiversity, conservation programmes, and sustainability initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate conservation professional to gain hands-on experience across terrestrial, marine, and sustainability projects while living and working in a truly unique island environment.
Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in wildlife monitoring, ecological surveys, and conservation fieldwork
- Support habitat restoration, biosecurity, and sustainability initiatives
- Assist with marine conservation activities, including coral restoration and monitoring projects
- Collect, manage, and enter environmental data and support reporting activities
- Support and guide Conservation & Sustainability Interns during fieldwork and daily tasks
- Maintain conservation equipment and assist with the smooth operation of department activities

Job Requirement
Requirements
- BSc or equivalent in Natural Sciences or a related field
- Experience in conservation, ecological monitoring, or field research
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Comfortable living and working in a remote island environment
Advantageous
- Diving certification and marine fieldwork experience
- Experience with bird monitoring, habitat restoration, coral restoration, or biodiversity surveys
- Basic skills in Excel, QGIS, R, or similar data management tools
