Cafeteria Supervisor

The Cafeteria Supervisor is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, attending to customers, taking and delivering orders, processing payments, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role supports the smooth daily operation of the cafeteria while maintaining cleanliness, accuracy, and efficiency.

This is a critical leadership position that directly impacts customer satisfaction, team performance, and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer service and waiting duties.

  • Welcome and attend to customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Clear tables and maintain a clean dining area.

Bar and beverage preparation.

  • Prepare and serve coffee, juices, shakes and other beverages/
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
  • Monitor beverage stock levels and report shortages.

Cashier duties.

  • Process customer payments accurately using cash, card and/or other electronic payment methods.
  • Issue receipts and maintain proper cash handling procedures.
  • Balance the cash register and reconcile daily sales.

Housekeeping and Hygiene.

  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tables and service areas.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Assist with washing glasses, utensils and light cleaning duties.

Inventory support.

  • Assist with stock counts and inventory management.
  • Report damaged or expired items to management.
  • Assist receiving and storing supplies properly.

Working hours: 6-day work week required

Job Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • Secondary School Education
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hospitality related environment; restaurants, cafés, or bars.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a small team is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM stock management systems is preferred.
  • Food handling certification is an advantage.
