Job Description
Purpose
The Driver is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-volume movement of products and materials across the supply chain. This includes internal site shunting, raw material collection, and final delivery of finished goods to retailers. The incumbent is expected to maintain 100% operational readiness of their assigned vehicle while executing both onsite and offsite delivery routes.
Top Accountabilities
- Execute material transfers from manufacturing to the Full Goods Store (FGS).
- Collect raw materials from external warehouses and designated port facilities.
- Conduct planned route deliveries of finished goods to retailer outlets.
- Manage product receipt, reconciliation, and collection of empty goods at customer sites.
- Perform mandatory daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, fuelling, and cleaning.
- Manage and maintain all vehicle documentation (licensing, insurance, log sheets).
- Supervise the assigned Helpers during all delivery and collection processes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications + Experience
- Post-Secondary Level Education with acceptable passes in English, French, and Mathematics.
- Valid Type 2, 4, 5 Driving Licence (or local equivalent for heavy goods vehicles).
- Certified Forklift driving skills
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable work experience in a related distribution or logistics setup.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is an advantage
