‘Through a joint initiative, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Seychelles Defence Force are advancing the construction of the Ship-in-a-Box facility at the Seychelles Coast Guard Base, a key project aimed at strengthening national maritime operational capacity. As part of the preparatory phase prior to the formal launch of the Expression of Interest (EOI), eligible contractors are required to complete a mandatory registration process on the United Nations Global Marketplace (UNGM).
Interested contractors—specifically Class 1 and Class 2 companies registered with the Government of Seychelles and with demonstrated expertise in steel fabrication and construction—must first be registered as suppliers on UNGM to be considered for participation in the competitive procurement process. Upon successful registration, the EOI will be formally issued, and all registered and eligible vendors will be notified and invited to participate in the bidding process.
All interested parties are encouraged to complete their registration no later than 7 August 2026 to ensure eligibility for the upcoming procurement process.
