Job Description
Reporting to: The head of the establishment
Collaboration: Management team, HR manager
Main Mission
The accounting officer ensures the rigorous maintenance of the establishment’s accounts. He or she records accounting transactions, tracks expenses and income, prepares financial documents and ensures compliance with procedures and tax and social security obligations. He or she participates in the preparation of the budget and overall financial management.
Financial and budgetary management:
- Develop and monitor the school’s annual budget
- Ensure management control and cost optimization
- Manage cash flow and investments
- Oversee financial operations and closings
- Ensure close collaboration with the AEFE via the MAGE budget management tool for monitoring, entering and reporting financial data
- Monitor payroll and edit pay slips
Accounting and tax supervision
- Ensure the application of local accounting and tax rules
- Be constantly up to date with changes in current accounting and tax standards
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management and regulatory bodies
- Ensure monitoring of internal and external audits
Management of relationships with financial partners
- Negotiate with banks and financial providers
- Ensure relationships with suppliers and service providers
- Seek funding and grants for the development of the establishment
General services management
- Guarantee the management of stocks, purchases and outsourced services
- Monitor supplier contracts
- Manage all orders including those for school materials
Respect for ethical and confidentiality principles
- Guarantee the discretion and security of the establishment’s financial and personal data
- Apply the rules of transparency and financial ethics in all decisions
- Raise awareness and train teams in the responsible and confidential management of information

Job Requirements
Required Profile
- Degree in finance, accounting or management
- Minimum two to three years of experience in financial management, ideally in the education sector
- Excellent skills in mathematics applied to financial management
- Mastery of accounting and financial tools (ERP, management software)
- Good knowledge of local and international tax regulations
- Fluency in English, French skills would be an added value
- Be up to date with current accounting and tax standards
- Strong sense of ethics and commitment to data confidentiality
