Post Title: Accounts Technician
Responsible to: Account Supervisor & Financial Controller
Location: Central Post Office – Victoria
Job Description
Summary of main duties:
- Prepare, issue, and record customer invoices in accordance with company policies and contractual terms for both local and international debtors.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes promptly.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including aging analysis and AR reporting.
- Support cash application processes by matching payments to invoices and identifying unallocated receipts.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all receivable transactions.
- Follow up on overdue accounts and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, collection performance, and bad debt provisions.
- Perform daily banking and ensure that funds received are securely handles, banked promptly and properly reflected in QuickBooks.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualification and experience:
- AAT Final Certificate, ACCA level one
- Diploma in Business Studies or AAT Intermediate plus three years satisfactory work experience as Accounts Assistant
- Certificate in Accounting or AAT Preliminary plus four years satisfactory work experience as Accounts Assistant
- S5 Level of Education plus IGCSE in Mathematics grade C or above or ‘O’ Level Accounting grade C or above plus five years satisfactory work experience as Accounts Assistant
