Job summary
The Airport Infrastructure Officer will assist the SAIO to provide support in planning and monitoring of a variety of projects from budget to final implementation involving airport infrastructure which can be new and/or maintenance projects for the Airport Management Department.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare project documents of budgeted projects for approval.
- Prepare request for proposals, providing scope of work, drawings, specifications, budget estimates and tender documentation.
- Organising tender process/selecting mode of procurement in conjunction with the Procurement section.
- Assessment of project offers (bid evaluation) and proposing recommendation for approval.
- Prepare contract documents for award of construction contracts and carry out preconstruction activities including pre construction meetings, verification of project scope, budget and schedule, and addresses outstanding technical and regulatory issues.
- Monitoring project implementation by adopting a hands on approach in tracking and managing of project delivery milestones.
- Provide support in the management of the construction contracts.
- Monitors project vitals (cost, schedule, scope, quality) through various project tracking methods and tools.
- Preparation of routine project status updates for the management.

Job Requirements
Entry requirements:
- Advance Diploma or Diploma in Construction related field.
- or equivalent Draughtsman certificate is a plus. • At least 2 years of relevant experience in construction.
- A class 2 driving license is an advantage
- Airport or civil aviation work experience is desirable.
- Satisfactory knowledge of construction and development (including national and international regulations).
