APPOINTMENTS OF MEMBERS OF THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION
An immediate vacancy exists for the position of Member of the Electoral Commission following the appointment of a former member of the Commission as Chairperson.
Furthermore, there will arise 4 (four) new vacancies in July 2025 for the positions of Members of the Electoral Commission.
Given that 2025 is an Election Year, and in order to avoid any interruptions in the workings of the Electoral Commission, interested persons are asked to apply now. Interviews will be conducted in late April and early May 2025.
Applications are invited from citizens of Seychelles residing in Seychelles and who are suitably qualified under Article 115(B) of the Constitution of the Republic of Seychelles (Sixth Amendment) Act,2011 (Act 7 of 2011).
A Member of the Electoral Commission shall be appointed for a term of seven years. The salary, allowances and gratuity payable to the Member of the Electoral Commission, shall be those as prescribed under the Constitutional Appointees Emoluments Act.
