Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Undertake regular update of the agency’s asset register.
  2. Ensure that write-off assets are done according to the Financial Instructions.
  3. Undertake reconciliation of the assets and budget at the end of the year or after write-off.
  4. Coordinate with the units within the agency to ensure all assets are captured and recorded on the register.
  5. Maintain movement of asset within the agency by carrying out physical inspection of assets.
  6. Advise/review asset procedures in relation to the framework for the control of asset related processes and activities set by the Finance Department.
  7. Prepare a replacement strategy for each asset category in the agency.
  8. Provide information to Finance Department during the budget preparation phase to assist in analyzing the requests from the Agency and make recommendation of the required funds to be allocated for Minor Capital Outlays.
  9. Work closely with Internal Audit Department of the Finance Department to ensure that verification of assets are done on a regular basis.
  10. Undertake any other duties as required by the Director General or exigencies of service.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Book Keeping or Stores management plus at least five years relevant work experience Or
  • Relevant certificate plus at least nine years satisfactory work experience relevant work experience

  2. Must be conversant in English and Creole
  3. Able to work independently and as part of a team
  4. Good writing skills
  5. Good presentation skills
  6. Computer literacy
