Job Summary

The Seychelles Tourism Academy is looking for a full time Assistant Human Resource and Budget Management Officer to join its dynamic, dedicated team. The Assistant Human Resource and Budget Management Officer will be attached to the Human Resource and Administration Department of the Academy and also support the other departments if needs be.

Duties

  • To set an example, in terms of punctuality, personal appearance and professionalism to all the Academy staff.
  • Ensures a high standard of office management and procedures relating to personnel and administrative matters are followed. Assists all concerned with Administrative and Personnel issues and provides guidance/assistance where appropriate.
  • Assists in conducting interviews, processing appointments and other personnel issues, and updates personnel records accordingly.
  • Deputizing in the absence of the Senior Human Resource and Management Officer.
  • Assists with the management of the Personnel Department, ensuring compliance with STA policies and procedures.
  • As part of the STA team, contributes and participates in the development and preparation of the STA’s Strategic Plan and Marketing Plan.
  • Maintains and updates files on employee records, legal documents and other personnel matters, efficiently and confidentially.
  • Maintains effective communications with all STA staff
  • To assist in maintaining and creating a positive atmosphere within the STA campus that allows for open two-way communication that ensures morale and productivity reach the highest possible levels.
  • Deals with all problems relating to individuals in an understanding, caring and confidential manner.
  • To perform any other duties as may be assigned in the interest of the Seychelles Tourism Academy.

Benefits

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualification/Requirements

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management plus 2 years’ relevant work experience as an Assistant Human Resource and Budget Management Officer
  • Certificate in Human Resource Management plus 4 years’ relevant work experience as an Assistant Human Resource and Budget Management Officer
