Job Description
Job Summary
To be accountable for all monies collected and disbursed in respect of withdrawals and other authorized form of payments, and interface with both SCU members and potential ones to ensure that the service being delivered are of high standards and to the expectations of the members. To help promote and sell the banks’ services and products.
Duties
- Handle the account of all monies received; namely savings, deposits, loan payments, interest on loans any other fees. Ensure safe custody of all monies by proper management of funds in and out of the vault.
- Compile and submit daily summaries of cash transactions together with the physical cash to the Banking Supervisor/Manager for verification purposes.
- Handle queries from both members and non-members at the counter.
- Assist with periodic field visits to assess progress of borrowers as well as membership recruitment efforts.
- Develop a good working knowledge of the Credit Union’s banking system.
- To perform assigned tasks while remaining compliant with all relevant laws, codes, rules, regulations, policy procedures and standards of best practice, including Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism: and that any irregularities arising in the Department, are promptly reported in line with procedures and regulatory guidelines, and resolved in a manner, which minimises financial loss and protects the good name and reputation of SCU.
Benefits
Salary negotiable based on qualification and experience.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education Qualifications –At least 5 IGCSE with pass grades
- Previous Work Experience and Other Requirements –
- Minimum of two years’ work experience in a related field is preferable; and
- Previous Work Experience in customer service and other related field is also preferable
