VPM Yacht Charter Seychelles is a well-established and one of the oldest yacht charter operators in Seychelles. Together with our partners, we offer yacht charters and sailing cruises sailing yachts and catamarans. Together with our team in Seychelles, we maintain and prepare yachts for our guests and provide assistance during their whole charter or cruise.
As a mechanic, you will be in close cooperation with Base manager and report to him directly, as well as work together with the VPM team in Seychelles to ensure a high-quality product and service for our guests.

Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties
- Follow-up of planning
- Preparing vessels for charter (electrical, mechanical, repairs, etc.)
- Checking and maintaining rigging, fittings and sails
- Maintenance and repair of tenders and outboard motors
- Management of options (spinnaker, kayak, etc.)
- Ensuring the good appearance of the boat (mainsail cover, bimini, skirts, fenders, etc.)
- Handover and return to customers and inventory according to schedule
- Mooring of vessels after rental
- Spare parts and consumables management
- Engine maintenance
- Generator maintenance
- Water maker maintenance
- Ice maker maintenance
- Mechanical and technical reports

Job requirements:
What is important to us?
- Previous experience in a similar position in the charter industry or in a technical, ideally in an “exotic” destination
- Good command of spoken and written English and/or French
- Yacht-related technical, mechanical, and sailing experience
- Motivated and focused mindset in a team and independently
- You are able to act professionally and maintain good relations with every individual, directly or indirectly, in line with our business
- Good organizational skills and are able to plan and execute
