Air Seychelles is in search of Captain –Turboprop Fleet to operate as Captain on company domestic aircraft on all company inter-island routes and maintain overall responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of crew and passengers. Ensure safety of company aircraft and equipment. As Pilot in command, lead and assist the First Officers.
Job Description
A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Abide to all references of quality and/or standards that are laid out in different areas of service provision that meet the safety, operational and commercial objectives of the airline.
- Conduct safe and efficient operation of aircraft and ensures safety of passengers and crew.
- Conduct pre-flight checks on the navigation and operating systems, and ensure that all safety systems and controls are working properly. Perform regular checks on the aircraft’s technical performance and position, and air traffic during flight.
- Authority to make day-to-day operational decisions to manage and mitigate operational safety and security-related risks, through effective evaluation and decision-making based on conditions, hazards and threats.
- Ensure that all legal requirements, regulations and company instructions are complied with.
- Lead and assist First Officers in their duties.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, including providing assistance where possible.
- Ensure good On Time Performance – Maintains punctuality at all times and adheres to the company FTL programme.

Job Requirements
Our Preferred Profile:
DHC-6 Co-pilot upgrading to Commander
- Total flight time on aeroplane of at least 1200 hours.
- Minimum of 500 hours on type of the aeroplane to be flown.
- Valid CPL(A) with Instrument Rating.
- Current Class 1 medical.
- Relevant type rating for the aeroplane to be flown.
- Shall have not been the subject of any disciplinary action by the Human Resources Department within the preceding 12 months.
- Multi Crew Coordination Rating (MCC).
- Valid Psychometric test.
- Attainment of good standards in training and recency checks.
- Comprehensive knowledge with the operating rules, Air Traffic Control, Communications and other procedures laid down by the relevant Authorities.
