Air Seychelles is looking for Cargo Agents to handle Import/Export cargo in accordance with HM and Customer airline procedure manual, IATA, AHM and procedure of applicable regulation, including safety and security measures.
Job Description
A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Abide to all reference of quality and/or standards that are laid out in different areas of service provision that meet the safety, operational and commercial objective of the airline.
- Monitor undelivered or rejected consignments. Apply storage charge as necessary. Notify the Cargo Import and Service Delivery Manager if consignment is not cleared within the allocated time.
- Ensure that cash and other mode of payments as authorised by Air Seychelles are correctly and accurately handled and tallied with the receipts at the end of each working day, and report any irregularities immediately to the Cargo Import and Service Delivery Manager.
- Prepare receipts/ invoice in accordance with applicable cargo rates and collect freight charges.
- Accountable to identify and report safety and security-related occurrences and hazards in accordance with company procedures and local regulations.
- Ensure correct delivery of documents and consignment.

Job Requirements
Our Preferred Profile:
- IGCSE/O’ Level qualification *
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the aviation/cargo industry *
- Good knowledge of safety management system
- Excellent interpersonal competences- Able to effectively communicate with a wide range of people, including clients
- Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to operate competently in a fast-paced regulatory environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team and efficiently under limited supervision
- * Or the equivalent combination of education and experience
