Air Seychelles is looking for Cargo Duty Officer, to assist the Cargo Operations Manager to oversee the undertakings of the section on a shift basis, ensuring that service delivery conforms to regulatory, operational, safety and security, and customer service standards.
Job Description
A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Abide to all references of quality and/or standards that are laid out in different areas of service provision that meet the safety, operational and commercial objectives of the airline
- Ensure queries from other stations are promptly and efficiently responded to and handled.
- Responsible for the administration of the cargo offices and warehouse while on duty with the aim of ensuring reliable customer service, on time performance, and achievement of targets.
- Supervise the duties and responsibilities of Cargo Officers, ensuring all processes and functions are correctly implemented.
- Supervise Loaders and Forklift Operators, ensuring the safe and secure handling of cargo, mail, baggage and equipment, in compliance with relevant standards and customers’ expectation.
- Responsible for completing the dangerous goods acceptance checklist to ensure it complies with the regulatory requirements.
Hours of Work
Shift Hours (include weekend and Public Holidays)

Cargo Terminal – Seychelles International Airport
Job Requirements
Our Preferred Profile:
- Diploma qualification, ideally in a relevant discipline *
- 2 to 4 years’ work experience, experience in a related/similar role preferable *
- Excellent supervisory skills- Ability to competently supervise and mentor staff, and delegate duties
- Valid Dangerous Goods Certification CAT 6
- Safety-conscious approach to business
- Proven time management, organizational and multi-tasking competences
- Ability to work competently under pressure
- Strong teamwork skills
- Excellent problem resolution skills
* Or the equivalent combination of education and experience
