We are currently seeking talented, passionate professionals to join our dynamic team at Le Domaine De L’Orangeraie at Anse Severe on La Digue Island in the above position.
Job Description
Summary of the Main Duties and Responsibilities.
- Responsible for maintaining, repairing, and constructing woodwork and fixtures throughout the hotel. Ensuring the aesthetic and structural quality of the property, enhancing guest satisfaction by delivering superior craftsmanship and timely service.
- Undertakes carpentry maintenance of work assigned by inspecting , repairing , and maintaining wooden furniture, fixtures, and fittings in guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, and other hotel facilities as per the hotel standards.
- Undertake routine work to inspects and identify wear and damage to wooden components and fixtures in all work assigns.
- Re-finish surfaces, including sanding, painting, or varnishing as needed.
- Construct, assemble, and install wooden structures, furniture, and decor items as per hotel requirements.
- Interpret drawings, sketches to meet the project specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments for accurate craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure all assign work of wooden fixtures, doors, windows, and flooring remain safe, functional, and aesthetically goodlooking.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
- Trade certificate or training in carpentry or related fields.
- Familiar with materials and construction techniques specific to hospitality design.
Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years proven post qualifying experience as a carpenter preferably in hospitality in an upscale deluxe hotel or commercial environment.
