JOB TITLE: Catch Certification Officer
DEPARTMENT: Monitoring Control and Surveillance/ Catch Certification Unit
RESPONSIBLE TO: Senior Catch Certification Officer
Job Description
Summary of Duties
To actively participate in the validation of catch certificates and trade documentation as the competent fisheries authority of Seychelles. Implement other trade related measures to prevent deter and eliminate IUU fishing. Perform other duties as authorized fisheries officer in accordance to the Fisheries and Aquaculture Act of 2025.

Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- A Level in English, French, Geography, Law as a bonus plus two years in a relevant field;
- Prior experience in trade compliance desirable
- Efficient in Microsoft Excel, Database, MS Word, Outlook
Required Skills
- Fisheries Monitoring and MCS
- Trade measures
- Seychelles Fisheries Law and other relevant legislations
- Maritime Law Enforcement
- Fisheries Information Systems (VMS, Electronic Logbooks etc, Fisheries Database)
