Job Description
Job Purpose:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
To identifies and diagnoses psychological, emotional and behavioral disorders among a wide range of clients. To develop and implement psychological treatment plan.
Key Outputs:
- Client assessment and evaluation done
- Psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders diagnosed
- Personalized and group intervention/treatment and management plan developed and implemented
- Client progress recorded, maintained and monitored
- Human Resource functions including supervision of staff carried out
- Reports compiled and submitted in a timely manner
- Clients requiring further management referred appropriately
Key Functions:
- Carrying out client assessments and interpretations based on a wide range of psychological tests.
- Diagnosing psychological, behavioral and emotional disorders in accordance with diagnostic criteria
- Developing and implementing treatment plans accordingly
- Formulating and creating personalized interventions, treatments and management plans for a wide range of clients.
- Providing and evaluating therapy to groups and individuals using various evidence-based modalities and tests.
- Collaborating with other healthcare providers to evaluate medical and physical condition of clients.
- Updating and storing of accurate program and client records, and all other pertinent documents appropriately.
- Participating in clinical training, mentoring and supervising of other staff
- Conducting research as per the department needs
- Compiling and submitting reports in a timely manner
- Implementing psychological standards guidelines and codes of conduct
- Participating in court proceeding in relation to their clients’ demands as and when required by the criminal justice system
- Participating in continuous professional development

Person Specifications
a) Qualifications
Must have a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
