Job Description
Carry out accurate paint colour matching, tinting and order preparation using Sofap’s colour-matching and tinting equipment. Obtain and assess customer colour samples, follow formulas and job cards, complete job cards accurately, match colours and prepare brush-outs, and verify colour accuracy before releasing orders. Minimise mistints through careful checking, report quality issues immediately, help ensure bases and related materials are available, assist with stock replenishment and maintain a clean, organised mixing area. Assist with customer service and deliveries when required.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, with Saturday as a half-day. Working hours will follow the applicable Seychelles employment requirements and the company’s approved work schedule.
Benefits
Sofap-specific training on the colour-matching system and equipment will be completed before independent operation. Remuneration and any applicable benefits will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
Job Requirements
- Basic IT skills, good numeracy and reliable record keeping.
- Strong colour perception, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow formulas, job cards and quality-control procedures.
- Ability to operate colour-matching and tinting equipment; demonstrated machine competency is required before independent operation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in colour matching, paint tinting, paint production or a closely related technical role is preferred.
- Paint/coatings industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Reliable, organised and able to maintain a clean and safe work area.
