The Seychelles Trading Company is seeking to recruit a dynamic, detailed-oriented and highly motivated individual for the above position.

Job Description

Job Purpose:

This position plays a key role in managing customer credit accounts, monitoring outstanding debts, assessing credit risks, and ensuring timely debt recovery while maintaining positive customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess customer credit applications.
  • Monitor customer credit limits, outstanding balances, and ageing reports.
  • Follow up and recover overdue debts through calls, emails, letters, and customer visits.
  • Recommend credit limits, terms, and risk ratings.
  • Monitor high-risk accounts and implement recovery actions.
  • Prepare reports on collections, overdue accounts, and customer credit exposure.
  • Ensure compliance with STC’s Credit Management Framework and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records and documentation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, Debt Recovery, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Experience in debt recovery, wholesale, retail, trading, or FMCG operations will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and debt recovery skills.
  • Good understanding of credit control and accounts receivable processes.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
