Credit Manager

Job Description

Responsible for the management of the Credit Executives team whilst ensuring that the application of the Bank’s credit policy, regulatory guidelines, procedures and standards are observed for the Individual and Non-Individual lending process including implementation of strategies to improve the performance of the risk portfolio.

In this role you will:

• Make recommendations request for credit facilities and / or take decisions on credit requests within discretionary power in line with the Bank’s Credit Policy in view of safeguarding the interest of the Bank.
• Analyse and assess the risks associated with Individual and Non-Individual credit applications/business activities.
• Produce a regular update on sector analysis to the management while adapting a risk based approach.
• Addressing the adhoc as well as the regular reporting requirements from the regulator promptly.
• Contribute to the evaluation / review of ‘out of order’ customers.
• Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues/threats.
• Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.

Job Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have minimum of:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Retail/Corporate/ SME Lending and at least 3 years’ in a management position.
