Position: Credit Officer – Praslin Branch

Responsible to: Branch Manager

Job Description

Job Summary:

Support in the department’s operational processes and achievement of deliverables and   maintaining a high level of customer service in compliance with Banking Regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of customer relationships, prepare and recommend facility solutions in accordance with the Bank’s lending guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements;
  • Interview potential borrowers, assess and evaluate their financial status and credit worthiness;
  • Collect and analyse financial data and documentations for loan applications and assessments;
  • Undertake visits and inspections to borrower’s premises;
  • Prepare Letter of Offer and Facility Agreement and issue Letters of Guarantee and Security Bonds;
  • Undertake execution and registration of security documents with competent authorities and assist in maintenance of Security Documents’ log;
  • Identify prospective opportunities to retain or develop new clientele;
  • Prepare periodic Returns and Reports for the department;

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Banking and Finance, Business Studies and Accounting, ACCA Diploma or equivalent in a related field with work experience in commercial lending.
