ACCS is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the post of Declaration of Asset Assistant.
Job Description
Job Summary
The selected candidate will support and, where appropriate, participate in the ongoing activities of the Declaration of Assets Unit, with a particular emphasis on maintaining the Master Declaration Register and relevant record management systems. The role will also involve managing any other registers of the Commission necessary for the effective discharge of ethics and compliance functions. The candidate will report directly to the Declaration of Assets Coordinator.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the Annual Master Declaration Register by accurately recording and updating all asset declarations, along with any other registers necessary for the effective discharge of the Ethics functions.
- Update the list of non-compliance public officials by regularly monitoring and managing follow-up actions to address individuals who have failed to comply with asset declaration requirements.
- Take primary responsibility for all logistical arrangements related to the preparation, dispatch, and receipt of official asset declaration documents from public officials and stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting, implementing, and reviewing processes and procedures related to the management of asset declarations, in line with the agency’s strategic goals and anti-corruption initiatives.
- Carry out relevant administrative duties, including scheduling meetings, coordinating communications, and providing support to the team involved in asset declaration and ethics compliance functions.
- Ensure secure and organised electronic and physical filing of regulatory documents, asset declaration forms, and related correspondence using appropriate filing systems, guaranteeing confidentiality and ease of access.
- Submit quarterly activity reports to the immediate supervisor.
- Keeping abreast with developments in the field and related domain; and making recommendations for improvements.
- Performing such other related functions as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor from time to time.
- In the capacity of the role specific, represent the Commission in external meetings and committees as and when required.
- Ensure that all work carried out is in accordance with the ethical, moral, and legal standards expected by all employees of ACCS.
Job Requirement
Minimum Requirements:
- Training and experience equivalent to completion of a post-secondary school education, supplemented by a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in paralegal studies, pre-law, public or business administration, communications
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificates or professional qualifications (preferred: Compliance, Law, Audit, Business Administration or Public Administration or other relevant area)
- Experience gained in a legal, investigation or ethics office environment
- Valid Driving License Class 2
