POSITION: DIRECTOR INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION & EXCHANGE
The Institute of Early Childhood Development has been designated as a Category 2 Centre for Early Childhood Care and Education under the auspices of UNESCO. Be part of this dynamic team to establish this international centre. We are currently seeking a highly qualified, experienced and committed professional for this position.
Job Description
The post holder will be under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer and will be responsible to:
Main Duties
- Seek, collaborate with, share and exchange information and expert services with international authorities, institutions and organisations that are involved in or shows interest in any field relating to early childhood care and education, services and research;
- Liaise with and enter into agreements with organisations concerned with early childhood care and education;
- Mobilise funds externally for the purpose of fulfilling the functions of the Institute;
- Organise a biennial international conference as an international platform structured on early childhood care and education;
- Undertake the Institution’s project coordination, oversight, monitoring and evaluation, and of the good flow of information on projects financed by Donors, in collaboration with all related sections and partners.
- Establish ECCE links, reciprocal exchanges, and showcasing with Institutions and associations, in the region and further afield.
Job Requirements
Minimum Entry Requirements
- A Business Degree with extensive experience in building partnerships and formulating and providing advice to international organisations and Donors.
- Sound knowledge and skills in early childhood development
