Job Description
Summary of DutiesÂ
- Operate and monitor plant equipment as instructed by the Shift Supervisor
- Make rounds and monitor equipment to ensure a high standard of safety in and around equipment enclosures
- Check monitors, gauges, dials, levels or other indicators to ensure that equipment are working properly
- Check and maintain correct operation items in running machinery (oil, water, fuel, air, etc..)
- Adjust controls, switches on equipment as required
- Collect, log and examine equipment operational data
- Report abnormalities and defects to the Shift Supervisor
- Keep machinery and environment clean and tidy
- May be required to attend to emergency call-out in case of faults
- Follow in-house training as and when required.
- Work on Shift duties
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate from SIT School of Engineering
- Trade Test in Electromechanical Disciplines
- Ability to read and write basic English
- (Preferable) Possess a good working knowledge of operations of power stations, particularly plants operating on heavy fuels
- (Preferable) Have at least 2 years’ experience in the operations and/or maintenance of diesel-fuelled power stations
