Job Description
Summary of Duties
- Operate and monitor plant equipment as instructed by the Shift Supervisor
- Make rounds and monitor equipment to ensure a high standard of safety in and around equipment enclosures
- Check monitors, gauges, dials, levels or other indicators to ensure that equipment is working properly
- Check and maintain correct operation items in running machinery (oil, water, fuel, air, etc..)
- Adjusts controls, switches on equipment as required
- Report abnormalities and defect to the Shift Supervisor
- Working on shift duties
- Follow in-house training as and when required
- May be required to attend to emergency call-out in case of faults
- Collect, log and examine equipment operational data
- Keep machinery and environment clean and tidy
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduate from SIT School of Engineering
- Trade Test in Electromechanical Disciplines
- Ability to read and write basic English
- Possess a good working knowledge of operations of power stations, particularly plants operating on heavy fuels
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in the operations and/or maintenance of diesel-fuelled power stations
