Job Description

Summary of main duties

The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for all operational scenarios of the Housekeeping department in the Hotel.

• Management and control of all areas of housekeeping, including laundry, guest rooms, public areas, and parts of the back of house
• Fulfilment of tasks which relate to the personnel such as engaging associates, assessments, and disciplinary measures
• Provide the General Management with recommendations which relate to the maintenance of the furniture, and installations of appliances relating to Housekeeping
• Control and analyses the costs arising in the department, in order to assure adherence to budget
• Develop and implement Housekeeping systems and procedures
• Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping
• Monitor and have overall control of inventories of work equipment, laundry and uniforms
• Supervise housekeeping measures which serve the health and safety of personnel and guests, such as administration of the lost property office, key control, safety and security and emergency measures
• Involvement in the strategic planning and target setting for the hotel

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience

• Hospitality Management Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Housekeeping Senior management position, preferably in a 5*star hotel
• Compelling leadership skills and proficient in mentoring the members of the team
• Strong interpersonal skills to offer clients the best experience
• Ability to work under pressure and effectively keeping a smooth operation
• Preparation and managing budget
