Job Description

Farm workers ensure that the overall quality of the farm is maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain, organise and control of Hydroponic Growing System
• Manage planting and maintaining the green houses (trellising, leaf stripping, pollination)
• Harvesting and delivery of crops
• Use automated systems that comes with the Hydroponic system to maintain control of the overall system
• Cleaning and disinfecting the greenhouses
• Perform basic maintenance on the system and follow nutrient and modern fertigation techniques
• Identify and treat plant nutritional deficiencies and toxicities
• Complete tasks such as cleaning grow trays and mixing nutrient solutions
• Operate farm machineries and equipment

Job Requirements

Skills & Experiences

• Previous experience in the farming industry
• Knowledge of farming best practices
• Experience in operating Manitou and other farming equipment
• Able to work long hours on location, Public Holidays and Sundays
• Must be physically fit
• Excellent hand-eye coordination
• Lifting up to 25kg
• Mechanical ability is needed
