Air Seychelles is looking for individuals to join the Fixed Base Operations Team (FBO) as Ramp Agent to ensure effective preparation, planning, servicing and movement of all VIP Aircraft utilizing our services.

Job Description

A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:

• Liaise with the respective shift leader to determine aircraft preparation requirements e.g. provisions, water services, ground power unit and toilet services etc., in accordance with schedules, company’s policies and procedures.
• Check aircraft preparation in accordance with a general checklist.
• Assist with the refueling and towing operations as required in accordance with company’s policies and procedures.
• Drive and operate all ground services equipment in accordance with regulations and standard operating procedures (such as baggage tugs, toilet and water bowser and conveyor belt during aircraft handling).
• Drive the FBO/VIP Van to transfer guests between gates to VIP lounge, aircraft and transfer to and from the hotel.
• Report equipment defect and breakdowns including misuse of ground equipment to the shift leader. Check and monitor the serviceability of designated ramp/traffic equipment and report any inoperative or damaged equipment.
• Identify hazardous or leaking packages that may cause danger to the aircraft or loading personnel, and promptly report to the shift leader.
• Guide and marshal all aircraft movements.

Job Requirements

Our Preferred Profile:

• Graduate of a secondary institution, preferably with IGCSE qualification in English, and French an added bonus.
• 2 years’ work experience, preferably in a related/similar role with experience in ramp operational environment, including marshalling of aircraft.
• Excellent Customer Service.
• Valid class two (2) driver’s license plus a minimum 3 years’ driving experience, with an excellent driving record within the past 12 months.
• Dangerous Goods Certification CAT 8.
• Valid Airfield Driving Permit.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to read and understand instruction in English and French.
• Honest, confidential and trustworthy.
• Good understanding of basic hygiene. Understand and have knowledge to use all sanitary and ground equipment utilized for servicing aircraft.
• Able to work competently under pressure.
• Must be able and prepared to work all shift hours, including weekends, nights, public holidays and/or irregular shifts.
