Job summary
Assist Financial Controller responsible to assist Financial Controller in advising an organization on how to increase profit through prudent financial practices and monitoring and enforcing compliance with finance-related laws, procedures and regulations such as tax filing and financial reporting. Responsible for the production of accurate and timely financial accounting and management accounting reports
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the overall financial accounts of SAA’s as delegated by financial controller as follows:
- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analysing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Advise relevant departments and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
- Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts.
- Mediate withing the organization, employees, stakeholders on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
- Support with creation of Finance Department strategic business plans

Job Requirements
Entry requirements:
- A degree in Business field plus a full professional accounting qualification from a recognized accounting body (ACCA/CA/ CPA).
- A minimum of at least 5 years progressive relevant experience in Senior position in accounting and financial management.
- Practical experience in the use of computer-based accounting systems.
- Public or government budgeting practices and principles.
- Ability to provide staff with effective leadership, team building, and guidance in a conducive manner.
