Job Description
Summary: The Financial Controller oversees all financial operations of the Ministry, ensuring effective financial management, compliance with government regulations, and optimal use of public funds to support environmental and sustainable development programmes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial accounting operations, ensuring effective control of resources
- Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports
- Monitor budgets, control expenditure, and support efficient resource use
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Lead budget preparation, forecasting, and financial reviews
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements
- Authorise and oversee expenditure across programmes and projects
- Liaise with auditors, government entities, and key stakeholders
- Identify and manage financial risks
