The Seychelles Maritime Safety Authority (SMSA) invites applications for potential candidates who meet the requirements for the above full-time position.
Oversee and supervise the Survey and Enforcement Department of the Authority.
Manage all functions and tasks related to survey and Port State Control inspections of vessels and ensure the enforcement of all relevant legislations pertaining to that Department.
Maintain and support the shipping standards of the Authority in line with the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO’s) conventions, guidelines and recommendations.
Based on qualifications and experiences
Minimum Entry Requirement
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Certificate of Competency as a Chief Engineer officer or Second Engineer Officer on ships powered by main propulsion machinery of 3,000 KW propulsion power or more as per the Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) Convention and at least 10 years sea service.
