Job Description
The Group IT Manager is responsible for the strategic management, governance, and continuity of IT systems across all companies within the Group. The role ensures legal compliance, cybersecurity, and resilience of business-critical systems while preventing single-point-of-failure risks.
The position leads group-wide IT projects, oversees digital transformation initiatives, manages vendors, and ensures that systems are properly documented, supported, and handed over for ongoing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a Group IT governance framework covering all entities.
- Ensure IT operations comply with employment law, data protection obligations, cybersecurity requirements, and contractual responsibilities.
- Define clear IT service boundaries between group and company-specific operations.
- Maintain system access controls, user permissions, and audit trails across all entities.
- Develop and implement a Group IT Strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for system integration, automation, and efficiency gains.
- Lead digitalisation initiatives across operations, HR, finance, fleet, H&S, and compliance systems.
- Advise management on technology risks, scalability, and investment priorities.
- Act as Project Lead or Sponsor for all IT-related projects across the Group.
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver IT projects including:
- System implementations
- Infrastructure upgrades
- Cybersecurity improvements
- Business continuity solutions
- Manage project timelines, budgets, risks, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation, handover, and user adoption for all projects.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in IT management or senior IT roles.
- Demonstrated experience in IT project management (formal certification an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of:
- Networks, servers, cybersecurity
- Business systems and enterprise applications
- Disaster recovery and continuity planning
- Experience operating in multi-entity or group environments is highly desirable.
