Job Description

As a Guest House General Attendant, your primary responsibility is to enhance guest satisfaction by delivering personalized, efficient, and responsive service while paying attention to detail and anticipating guests’ needs. You will take ownership of the villas assigned to you, overseeing their cleanliness and maintenance. Your role is crucial in maintaining the highest professional service standards for our guests.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and assist with their inquiries.
  • Ensure all amenities, equipment, and tools in the villa are prepared, stacked, and always organized.
  • Assist the Manager and attend to guests during their absence, handling daily arrivals, departures, and important information at reception.
  • Place guest courtesies, complimentary items, and amenities in the villas as specified, ensuring timely delivery and clearance.
  • Conduct arrivals and departures following set procedures, including greeting guests, completing registration cards, and explaining daily operations of the Guest House in the Manager’s absence.
  • Ensure the minibar and kitchen are properly stocked.
  • Assist guests with special requests such as birthdays, honeymoons, and weddings.
  • Review guest profiles and history for specific guests allocated to you before their arrival to familiarize yourself with relevant information.
  • Set up the villa according to guest preferences and coordinate with other areas based on guest history details.
  • Ensure that all arrival amenities, such as fruit platters, beverages, cold towels, foot rituals, and welcome drinks, are prepared.
  • Inspect the arrival villa before the guest arrives according to standards, creating a checklist and reporting to the Manager and Maintenance Officer for any required work before checking in.
  • Monitor and report any repair work needed in the villa to maintenance.
  • Change bed linen and make beds.
  • Replace used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
  • Ensure room amenities, including cutlery, are always available for guests.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Vacuum carpets.
  • Dust and polish furniture.
  • Empty trash containers and ashtrays.
  • Restock beverages and food items in the minibar prior to guest arrival, as per guest requests.
  • Clean staff areas, kitchen, and laundry.
  • Prepare breakfast for guests, ensuring mise-en-place is ready in advance.
  • Serve breakfast to guests in the Manager’s absence.
  • Assist with watering plants and flowers as needed.
  • Perform any other related job duties.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluency in English and French
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Villa Host/Attendant
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Proactive and resourceful, capable of working independently
  • Strong decision-making abilities
