Air Seychelles is in search of Guest Service Coordinator to provide safe, secure, efficient customer service to passengers; to supervise staff performance and passenger handling at check-in, departure and arrival and attend to relevant back office work whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant company/airline policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

A summary of your responsibilities will include but not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Supervising punctuality and attendance, conduct and access work performance of staff that fall within the post holder’s jurisdiction and ensure that staff members are well groomed for each shift.
  • Perform flight briefings/debriefings for inbound and outbound flights on every shift including advice on aircraft load/passenger numbers, Upgrades etc…
  • Handle catering requirements for respective flights in close collaboration with the caterers paying close attention to special requests. Conduct boarding functions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all accountable documents for ancillary revenues are charged correctly and collected.
  • Ensuring that staff are conversant and comply with Air Seychelles and Customer Airline procedures and requirements.
  • Ensuring the correct compilation of statistics; account for and promptly dispatch flight coupons to Revenue Accounting.
  • Ensuring that staff and passengers are kept up to date with correct information on flight progress and flight irregularity.
  • Handle customer complaints. Anticipate difficulties/problems and bring them to the attention of the Airport Duty Manager with recommendations/proposals depending on the circumstances.

Job Requirements

Our Preferred Profile:

  • IGCSE/O’ level in English, French and Mathematics *
  • Airline Training as an advantage
  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in a customer services role in airline/ground handling industry *
  • Has to undertake and pass all Departure Control System training (DCS) (Training will be provided by Air Seychelles)
  • Fluency in English and French and Creole preferred, and any other foreign language is an added advantage
  • Good understanding of ground handling operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Good computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership proficiency, must be able to lead and guide a team
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Good organizational skills
  • A team player
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Pleasant disposition – Mature, diplomatic and cooperative
  • *Or the equivalent combination of education and experience
