Job Description

Position Summary

Seeking for an experienced Head Chef to lead kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all culinary activities, ensuring high-quality food production, managing kitchen staff, controlling costs, and maintaining food safety standards. Requires strong leadership, creativity, and operational expertise.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations and culinary team members.
• Plan, design, and update menus in line with the restaurant/hotel concept.
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards.
• Control food cost, portioning, and wastage within budget targets.
• Oversee purchasing, supplier selection, and inventory management.
• Ensure full compliance with hygiene, HACCP, and safety regulations.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff performance.
• Prepare duty rosters and manage manpower planning.
• Coordinate with F&B, Sales, and Events teams for promotions and special functions.
• Handle guest feedback and resolve culinary-related complaints.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience as Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable establishment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food production, costing, and kitchen operations.
• Creativity and passion for culinary innovation.
• Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Leadership and decision-making.
