Job Title: Head Of Commerce & Tourism
Location: Head Office – Mahé
Job Description
The Head of Commerce and Tourism will lead and manage the organization’s commerce and tourism initiatives, focusing on sales growth and enhancing visitor’s experiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and oversee the implementation of strategies to enhance commerce and tourism operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and establish standard operating procedures.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales performance and visitor statistics to identify sales potential and trends, providing actionable recommendations to management and submitting timely reports.
- Manage SIF and third-party stocks, oversee inventory optimization strategies to minimize wastage, and ensure timely reconciliations and payments to suppliers.
- Manage the department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines while identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or MSc/MA in Business Management, Marketing or Commerce.
- At least 5 years of successful work experience in business management.
- At least 3 years in supervisory/management role with direct responsibility for staff and resource management.
