Head of Operations 

Job Description

Responsible for leading the implementation of the bank’s operations strategy and oversee the operations areas which cover activities such as Payments, Credit facilities, Technology, Facilities Management, Operations and projects; will co-ordinate all relevant bank operations in an efficient and effective manner whilst identifying, mitigating and monitoring all operational risks within these areas.

In this role you will:

  • Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Help develop, improve and maintain policies and procedures for the functional area of the organization and monitor their implementation.
  • Act as a business partner to internal customers and manage relationships with them.
  • Plan and deliver stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective working relationships with other banks and stakeholders.
  • Provide specialist advice on the interpretation and application of policies and procedures, resolving queries and issues and referring very complex or contentious issues to others.
  • Produce work stream or project plans.
  • Manage and support a team of managers to ensure they deliver to expected standards.

Job Requirements

To succeed, you will be required to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Develops people to meet both their career goals and the organization’s goals.

We are looking for candidates who have minimum of:

  • Master in Business Administration / Banking and Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years ‘experience in operations and project management, deployment of banking systems and thorough knowledge of different payment platform.
  • Experience in running the logistic and infrastructure requirements of a bank.
  • Proven experience gained at leadership level
