Job Description

Job Purpose

The primary role of the Head of Programmes is to provide strong academic and professional leadership. The Head of Programmes will lead, manage, and develop the department to ensure the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

1. Overseeing, organizing, and developing the department’s core activities in teaching and learning.
2. Contributing to the formulation and dissemination of the annual business plan.
3. Managing and ensuring the effective delivery of programmes and courses.
4. Contributing to research activities within and outside TGMI.
5. Addressing learners’ issues, including those referred by other academic staff.

Job Requirements

Requirements for the Post

Applicants should meet the following qualifications and attributes:

• A Master’s Degree in Business, Management, or other relevant subjects.
• A full international professional qualification such as ACCA, CIPS, or ICSA is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience lecturing at a tertiary institution or university.
• High academic and professional competency.
• Aptitude for research.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and supervisory skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in grammar and document clarity.
