The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) is an organisation created by the Georgetown Agreement in 1975. It is composed of 79 African, Caribbean and Pacific states, with most of them signatory to the Cotonou Agreement, also known as the “ACP-EC Partnership Agreement” which binds them to the European Union. The ACP’s main objective is the sustainable development of its Member-States and their gradual integration into the global economy, which entails making poverty reduction a matter of priority and establishing a new, fairer, and more equitable world order.

DIVISION: Macro-Economics, Development Finance and Intra-ACP Programming Department.
DUTY STATION: Malabo, Equatorial Guinea
REPORT TO: Assistant Secretary-General for the Department of Macro-Economics, Development Finance and Intra-ACP Programming (MDFIP).
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Head of the Centre will represent the ACP Secretariat in the host country and will promote South-South and Triangular Cooperation as a development cooperation modality to benefit ACP Group Member States, in partnership with international, regional and national organisations. He/she will coordinate SS&TC activities at the ACP Information Centre.
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree or equivalent in Economics, Law, Finance, International Relations, Business Administration or Commerce or other related fields. Knowledge of information management would be an added advantage.
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional experience in the area of South-South and Triangular Cooperation policy, development cooperation or project management, three of which must be at national or international level. Computer literate with practical experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Good command of English or French or Portuguese or Spanish. A working knowledge of at least two of the other three would be an advantage.
ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION
