Job Description
RESPONSIBLE TO: HR & ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
WORKING HOURS: MONDAY – FRIDAY 7.15AM – 3.15PM (ONE HOUR LUNCH)
ONE SATURDAY EVERY MONTH: 8.30AM – 12PM FOR GENERAL CLEANING
Main responsibilities include to maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for the employer and employees.

Main Duties:
- sweep, scrub, mop floors
- dust and polish furniture and fittings
- clean metal fixtures and fittings
- empty and clean trash containers
- dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- clean wash basins, mirrors, toilet areas
- wipe down glass surfaces around the building
- sort, wash kitchen towels on agreed terms
- operate mechanized cleaning equipment
- maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- monitor and report necessary repairs and replacements
- wash dishes in MD office and canteen when necessary
- clean canteen according to agreed hygiene standards
- Clean canteen appliances
- Run office related errands on request
- Clean offices ensuring desks, cupboards and other surfaces daily
- Replenish hand soap, toilet paper and hand towels in all toilet facilities ensuring this is done consistently
- Wipe down all tranking surfaces and window cills daily
- Responsible for inventory of cleaning materials
- Water the indoor plants daily
- Wipe down the doors on a daily
- Clean the walls as needed to prevent dirt accumulation
- Clean the fridges in the canteen and MD office once a week
- Wash mops every end of day and put to dry out for next day use
- Ensure the offices smell pleasant
General Order of Cleaning duties
- Spares, showroom & Store
- Canteen
- Workshop Manager office
- MD office third then proceed to
- HR and Accounts office
Toilets and common areas to be cleaned twice daily (morning and afternoon prior to leaving office)
- Common areas to be kept clean at all times during the day especially showroom and spares area
- Detailing of all other areas to be done during course of the day as required
- Vacuuming of window cills and other hard to reach areas TWICE a week
- Window and glass door cleaning daily
- Door handles and handles of kitchen appliances to be disinfected
- Staircase to be cleaned daily and to be scrubbed & washed once a month
- All garbage to be removed before leaving the office daily
Job Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- High school Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
- Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
- Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
- Must possess Office etiquette
- Must have at least 3- 5 years’ experience working in a corporate environment/offices
- Excellent communication skills (Creole, English)
