Job Description

Summary of main duties:

To lead and coordinate core HR functions across Seychelles Postal Services, ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and a respectful, empowering experience for all staff. The role supports strategic workforce planning, policy implementation, and continuous improvement in HR service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Personnel Administration

  • Maintain and update personnel records and files in line with data protection standards
  • Monitor and process leave requests (annual, sick, compassionate) and ensure accurate tracking
  • Oversee uniform issuance and welfare provisions across all postal units
  • Support onboarding, contract management, and exit procedures with dignity and compliance
  • Utilize HRIS to manage employee data, generate reports, and streamline administrative tasks

Key Competencies

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and empathy
  • Attention to detail and commitment to service excellence
  • Adaptability and initiative in a dynamic operational environment
  • Confidence in using HRIS for employee data management and reporting
  • Accuracy in managing financial records and external benefit schemes

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate in General Management plus 2 years’ relevant experience

OR

  • 4 years’ experience in HR or equivalent role with supervisory exposure

OR

  • Polytechnic-level or equivalent school-leaving certificate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platform
