Duties and Responsibilities

As Human Resources Senior Administrator, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

  • General administrative duties:
    • Typing letters
    • Issuing memos
    • Filtering phone calls and taking messages
    • Issuing store and purchase requisitions and ensuring their follow up
    • Issuing change of status forms for the hosts
  • Welcome all hosts on Praslin whenever possible and coordinate their trip up to Felicite island
  • Books international air tickets for all team members whenever they are entitled to travel.
  • Book and coordinate interisland ferry tickets.
  • Administers computerised hosts’ database and ensure that it is kept update at all times.
  • Administers hosts’ personal Files and ensure that the files are always relevant and update.
  • Administers leave balance of all team members and ensure all balances are properly updated
  • Handles Hosts’ complaints.
  • Leads as an example to the hosts
  • Submit all the work permit applications and ensure the follow up until their release
  • Follow up on recruitment process
  • Liaise with the different Ministries on Mahe and attend to their queries or general correspondences
  • Checks payroll every month and report any discrepancies to the Director of Human Resources before she authorises the payroll.
  • To take the responsibility of the HR department if no senior host of the department is present
  • Assist the Director of HR and Assistant HRM with regards to all matters pertaining to performance, communication, welfare, training and discipline.
  • Produces relevant Human Resources statistics and reports when required by the Director of HR.
  • Work on specific project as assigned by the DHR
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Management

Job Requirement

Qualifications

To execute the position of Human Resources Senior Administrator, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • Diploma or equivalent in Business, preferably in Human Resources and at least 2 year experience in a similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Technical skills include advanced MS Office, Outlook platforms.
  • Fluent in English;
